About the Initiative

The Gift a Goat Program is a flagship livelihood initiative of Dupoto Flourish Africa that empowers vulnerable women and families through livestock ownership.

The program provides goats as productive assets and equips beneficiaries with skills in animal husbandry, enabling them to generate income and improve household resilience.

How It Works

• Women receive a goat as a livelihood asset
• Beneficiaries are trained in goat rearing and management
• The first female offspring is passed to another woman (pass-on model)
• This creates a cycle of empowerment within the community

Impact

The program improves household income, food security, and financial stability.

Families are able to invest in education, healthcare, small businesses, and long-term economic growth.
